Initial Public Offering (“IPO”) of Maxis Berhad comprising an offering of 2.25 billion ordinary shares (valued approximately RM11.2 billion) to international and domestic institutional investors and retails investors

It is the largest IPO in Malaysia history up to end of 2009, the largest ever IPO in Southeast Asia and the largest telecommunication IPO in Asia Pacific since 2000. Maxis Berhad is the first to introduce the concept of cornerstone investor in Malaysia; an investor who shows a willingness to be a shareholder of the company and agrees not to sell their shares for a period of 6 months from the date of listing of Maxis and who in return obtains a preferential allocation for the IPO
